Charge Your Electric Car

How does one charge a peugeot electric vehicle?

Peugeot electric cars offer several ways to charge your battery that save you time. In addition, charging an electric car is convenient and easy, and can be done quickly and intuitively.

Charge at home, at office

Private charging means charging your electric vehicle in your home or at your workplace.

This type of charging is advantageous as it offers practical and economical solutions.

Two types of charging are possible:

  • You can charge your electric car using a standard plug (charger 3.3kW, 8A)
  • You can choose to charge with a Green'up® reinforced plug (charger 3.3kW, 14A). This solution provides faster throughput than a standard plug.
  • Or you can opt for a Wallbox to reduce your charging time. You can fully charge your battery in 8h. This time can be reduced to 5h with a dedicated cable.

Charging with public charging points

Like the network of service stations for combustion vehicles, there is a public charging network for electric cars. This crucial network continues to grow rapidly and steadily. Today, there are currently more than 1,100 charging points in Ireland and almost 225,000 across Europe.

To speed up charging, you can choose from the fast charging points with which our cars are compatible.

The public fast charging points are able to charge 80% of the battery in 30 minutes.#

Ecodriving Tips to Adopt

Ecodriving is cost-effective driving that will allow you to maximise the range of your electric car. Adapt your driving avoiding jolts, acceleration too strong and frequent, as well as braking.

Using Brake mode

Instead of continuously using the brake pedal, use the engine braking system, which allows energy to be regenerated and therefore charges the battery, during the braking and decelerating.

Using "eco" mode

Electric cars are equipped with an "eco" mode that saves energy by reasonably reducing engine power. This mode is preferred in the city because we need less power than on the motorway.

Using the preconditioning

When your vehicle is charged, take advantage to precondition the battery to limit the energy of the heating or cooling systems when driving. Heating or cooling the car during the charge does not make use of the current range

Maintaining the tyres

It is essential to maintain your tyres regardless of your car’s engine type. Besides representing safety, electric cars are concerned with reducing energy consumption, which is liable to increase with unsuitable or poorly inflated tyres.
